This campaign featured the pro athletes of adidas tennis, including Dominic Thiem, Sascha Zerev, Simona Halep and Angie Kerber. I created two large-scale lighting scenarios based on the art director's concept of light and dark representing the two sides of every player. The creative brief asked that the players be emerging from the light or darkness in such an extreme way that parts of their figure would be obscured by the darkness or light. At the same time, we needed to be able to freeze motion thoughtout a 20x20’ backdrop. Needless to say, this was one of my biggest technical challenges ever, but was also super fun to light and shoot!
